Well Michael, I also am learning that the “money is in the list”. I am a novice webmaster/online marketer trying to get a traditional retail website moving as well as establishing some affiliate income streams. It has been an extremely slow start and I would love to learn how to get the traffic moving.

Being currently unemployed is my strongest motivator, since mouths to feed are also noisy (at least in my family). I am a firm believer that it’s always best to learn from experience… especially someone else’s. I’d love the opportunity to work with your material to move myself forward.

Hi micheal, I thought I was the only 15 year old aspiring internet entrepreneur! LOL. Anyway, I have been online studying internet marketing and list building of course. I know the importance of a list and it’s money making potential. It would be great If I could start making money online so I could help out my family and my sister. My sister was born with a hole in her heart and had to have open heart surgery at 6 months. I also had a heart problem called supra ventricular tachycardia, which is a very, very fast heartbeat. After years of working in J.O.Bs for other people, I finally convinced myself that being female, 40 & from the UK was not the disability i thought it was (most entrepreneurs are in their 20’s, male and from the US) I have now built 2 websites having taught myself dreamweaver & frontpage, but dispite 4 months of continual marketing I am still strugling with the List building issue. Hello Michael

Michael, I want you to know that I am not one
that normaly airs my problems in public but I
am about out of options here. OK, here it is.

I am a 63 (or will be in Dec.) year old Viet
Nam Vet. I moved to Oregon (USA) about 4 years
ago because my Brother bought 2 pieces of land
and moved our parents from California out with
him. The idea was to take care of them which
is working pretty good but not all that well.

Any way, about 6 months after I transplanted I
got to feeling pretty bad and had to go see a
Doctor to find out what was wrong. I had very
little savings and no job so it was a little
rough at the time.

The Doctor did some tests and about half hour
later tells me he is no expert in this field
but says he thinks that I have Prostate
Cancer. I said thats OK, I will get it fixed.
He then set up an apointment to see a
Specialest, to make sure that he was right.
Well it turned out that he was right about the
Prostate Cancer but the real problem was the
fact that I also have Secondary Bone Cancer
which is the one that is taking its toll. I
was given 3 to 8 years to live. It has now
been about 3 1/2 years sense I found out, but
I am still feeling better than the day I went
in to see the Doctor.

Now its to the point where its getting hard to
support my Internet habbit. I have been doing
this for about 3 years now (but I found out
that you can’t do very much with out money) in
hopes of being able to make enough to take the
load off my brother and myself. I haven’t told
my parents about this problem in fear of my
mother having a heart attack when she found out? The only people who know about this is my
Brother and his wife.

Now don’t get me wrong, I am not broke because
the VA and Government think that it may be
caused by Agent Orange and pay me monthly. The
problem is in comming up with the big bucks to
get into things like this. I know that if
could get something going with this package it
would just be a matter of time before relief
would set in. This will give me the oppotunity
to set things up so my family wouldn’t be in
need after I bite the dust.

Yes I have accepted the fact that it is going
to happen, its just a matter of when.

Michael, you also need to know that I was able
to pick up Joel Comm’s AdSense Templates in
hope’s that it would help also. The only
reason I tell you this is because I believe
that this information is needed for you to make the right decision. I am not going to sit
here and try to influence your decision by
telling you what a great guy you are and how
wonderful your product is, however I will say
that I do think the product is good just as I
thought the last set was but, I couldn’t get
that one either! I tried but didn’t make it.

Just one more thing I am going to ask. If you

I’m putting together an online natural health ‘co-op’ which will bring together small natural health and wellness professionals as well as amateurs who are well versed in a particular niche that they have studied or learned about from personal experience.

The goal is to bring together their collective talents and knowledge to create practical resources for helping people to take charge of their health.

We also plan to incorporate internet marketing strategies and training for our health specialists, so that we can maximize the exposure to the information they provide.

We are kicking off the online co-op with a campaign called, “A Healthy New Year” which will feature the leading natural health experts in the world providing teleseminars to combined lists from them as well as internet marketing specialists who want to promote the venture on an affiliate basis.

We see a tremendous opportunity to create useful products by encouraging joint ventures between specialists with related or overlapping areas of expertise, and a huge amount of relevant and valuable content that should be of interest to IM types.

Our larger goal is to accelerate the change in health care from the current top-down, crisis approach to a bottom-up, entreprenurial one, which focuses on foundational health and wellness, and relies on the individual initiative and genious that built our country in the first place.

As a mother who has home-schooled her children and learned a lot about natural health and wellness because that is a responsibility that I cannot in good conscience leave to someone else, I know that everyone can learn how to do this.

If you’ve ever had to deal with a health issue for a child or someone in your family that the doctors can’t figure out in the few minutes you get to see them, then you know how difficult it can be to find your own answers. But there are others out there who have dealt with that issue, or are searching for the same answers. By bringing those people together along with a large group of health specialists, we can shorten the time it takes to solve that problem.

I’ve come to understand just how critical marketing is to the success of any idea or project. The internet gives us a way to find those little points of light out there, who are the real innovators and movers in the world.

The low cost of entry and extreme reach of the internet is the way to enable the bottom-up entreprenurial approach that is the only way to restore people to health and wellness.

While the ‘I want to earn a lot of money so I can give to a big charity or cause’ approach is well intentioned, it is really a relic of the top down, one-size fits all mindset that was shaped by the older forms of media.

The internet provides a way to let the small innovator get his message out, in a way he could never do before. It provides a way for someone to really pursue his or her calling.

We’ve got to find those innovators, and encourage them, and encourage that spirit in each person. Just as natural health is based on the belief that we are ‘wonderfully made’ and just need to be given the proper ’soil’ in which to blossom, we can learn from the internet marketers, who are really the communication experts of the present time, how to bring those people together.

We’re working furiously to get the project going in time for the Christmas and New Year’s season, and could use any help we can get to bring it together.

Learning about natural health is like learning about internet marketing. I know how to get a list what i dont know is how to get a converting one.
I currently have about 300 people in my mailing list and i havent sold 1 item to them.

All you hear from so called “Internet Gurus” is the money is in the list, the money is in the list…. Then you monetise that list through segmenting and using autoresponders. But, what happens if you’re a newbie and don’t have any JV’S or affiliates to build the list in the first place?

How can a list be built quickly and cheaply? Most newbies can’t afford much upfront outlay and/or the time it takes to build a list in the “traditional way.” Nobody teaches this stuff in a step by step way!

I’ll probably get another JOB thing soon, but I wont ever rely on an employer as a sole source of income again. I’ve read a fair amount about internet marketing and understand the theory.

There’s no doubt I’d love a copy of your videos. However, I don’t know how suitable they will be for me.

Unlike your approach of find the market and then supply the product, I’m trying to promote my wife’s artwork which means I have to go the route of here’s the product, now find the market.

As I build the customer base, the list and newsletters will become vital to the business plan and I’m sure there will be lots of tasty morsels of information that would come in handy.

Truth is though, Michael, with this promotion you’ll be better off giving it to someone who will be able to use all of it, rather than some of it.

So much as I’d love a copy, it’s more important for you that your free copies go somewhere they will benefit you more.

See, I have strong physical aliments that do not allow me to obtain any physical work, and even work outside of the home. I’ve been struggling with List Building for quite a while. I’ve put in Thousands of hours into learning Online Marketing but for some odd reason I just can’t grasp the List Building area of IM.

I’ve learned alot from your Products and believe you’re a great teacher, naturally.

While you may consider yourself a Marketing Guru — you may not realize that Pushing a product to be sold and selling a product after the sale are two different areas and you’ve definately been selling after the sale.

Learning from others is an essential part of success in all areas of life. Discovering how you have achieved success will be inspiring and educational. Even if I only learned one new thing from your videos, it would be worthwhile, I am sure. But I’m confident I’d learn more than just one new thing…!

AFter reading some of the other replies it is clear to see that your program will be able to help many people achieve their dreams. I know there are some who are in more difficult situations than I am (unemployed for over 9 months after a 24 year carreer as a chemist with three dependents including a spouse who cannot work and two teenagers) but I too believe that this program would be able to help us achieve a longer term survival than is apparent now. After struggling for several years to find a secondary income when I had a job, it is now crucial for our family’s existence to create a successful business as soon as possible. Pure and simple! I purchased two expensive list building programs by the ‘gurus’ that said it was soooo easy — well it is not. Right then, as I was struggling to understand list building I was introduced to Dan Kelly’s “Mini-Site Secrets Revealed” videos. I said to myself, they need to come out with step-by-step tutorials for list building.

When you are new everything about internet marketing is overwhelming even when you have 25 years of marketing in the field! To sort out the easiest system without going broke is very challeging.

It sounnds like you have the answer for what I and many others need — just what the doctor ordered.

I started researching ways to make money online/using the internet back in 2002. Its now 2006, going into 2007, and the one thing I really missed/didn’t get was building a list. I have read tons of info about making money online… you have probably heard this before.. . but I am still trying to make it work. I am making only pennies a week at it, but I have gut feeling that I can get those numbers to change to astronomical figures in just a few months if I knew how to build, maintain, and use a list.
List building the only thing left that I have not tried yet, it seems, and I don’t know why I have not tried it, even after a few years of sifting through mostly useless crap about making money online.

Because I am about on step away from saying this whole industry is a scam with only those people who know people with lists and sell back and forth making any money. Have you seen all the cross promotions ? I am on soooo many lists that are the lists of “gurus” and “students of gurus” that when something “new” comes out. I get dozens of slightly different emails from people selling the same thing. So I want to know “ARE YOU REAL?” or are you just another marketer that got started on someone elses list. I have a number of sites and have lost money on google, JV, blogging, you name it. I bought the course, followed the directions, sometimes even paid for mentorship and in the end all I have to show is a bulging bookcase and a growing cycnism for all things internet and marketing, oh yeah, Im also out a few THOUSANDS DOLLARS. Meanwhile, I see people like Harris Fellman and Tellman Knudson go from no ones to mega-success. So, why should I get this course ? Because I need to, once and for all, prove that one can REALLY make money on the internet and it is not who you know and how much you have paid them. Does this really work for the little guy ? I am the perfect test subject to find out. If I can get it to work ANYONE CAN !!! and that should be worth any marketers right arm. A living breathing “average” internet ‘joe’ who can say, ” Yeah, I was where you were and I listened to Michael. And now I am where I want to be. One of my favourite sayings is
“Buy Cheap. Buy Twice”
These vidoes will not be cheap, because you will be investing in quality.
But what is cheap? Cheap is 5 bucks and going up every 20 minutes.
Another saying is:-
If I buy a book/video and it costs 20, 30 pound and I learn one good thing, I’m happy.
So if these 40 odd videos were £20 each and you learn just one thing from each. Yes you have 40 new ideas

To me, mailing list is a business leveraging tool. The success acheivable in 3 years, a good and far reaching list can make it doable in one third of the time, i.e one year for example. We look it as a source of competitive edge.

I am a senior citizen, retired from programming in the Information Technology arena and enjoyed everyday of my work. However, times changed, my company downsized and out-sourced the IT work-load and my position was eliminated. Since then I have waded through mountains of E-mail solicitations “promising” Internet Marketing riches. However, unlike many others, I have not bought into the sales pitches and have just been trying to weigh which website would really help me in getting started. What I gather from reading all the advertisements is that if I have a decent size and ligimate list of prospects, I would have a good chance of making sales for some of my offers. Then if I can couple myself with a marketer like yourself who would teach a newbie like me to become a decent Internet Marketer by providing me with the proper material that would teach me how to work offers with the datbase of prospects I acquired using the list building videos.

I have tried several times to build a list and the biggest need is to be able to moneytize that list.
Will you be offering specific steps to all the list builders to not only build their list but to actually generate finance from it?
From what I have done I believe that the true list builder is one that has a specific action plan in mind before they even start to build their list.
So I would say that it is information on the complete list building mind-set that is required to let others build a successful list of people who have similar interests

You know, I’ve been trying since the year 2000 to achieve online success. Every year or so, I try again, become frustrated and give up. I always have a technical problem, I drive myself crazy trying to figure it out. There always seems to be some confusion about specific steps — and when there is doubt, there is confusion.

It’s easy to get a website, just soooo difficult to advertise it. So far, PPC advertising didn’t work for me & Search engine optimization didn’t work either. What’s left?
The only thing I never tried is email lists. Why? I am afraid to spam.

I’ve always been passionate about the Internet and have spent a lot of time picking up and learning new stuff from people like Michael. Recently, I’ve decided to take my passion a little more seriously and started creating websites online to try and make a better living.

While doing my research, I realized the importance of list building, and have gathered lots of information about it. Then I heard from an email about Michael’s latest product, and it’s exactly what I am looking for. That’s really good news for me.

And I have more good news. I’m getting married soon and I promised my fiance that no matter what career decision I make, I’ll do whatever I can to get it right. To be honest, I’ve been working on my sites for 6 months. Though the results are encouraging, it hasn’t exactly been a bed of roses.

I am not going to bore you with story of my miserable life or why my dog does not like me. However since I have very recently invested in a website (to me a substantial amount of money) which I am still tweaking, I need to have a system in place to be able to make my investment back. Since my website is a free service I need a list to accomplish that. Also I have made a promise that once I break even the next $2,000.00 will go to a charity that helps children who require heart surgery. A good responsive list will also help me take my elderly mother to her dream vacation, something she has always wanted for the 70 years on this earth.

The obvious reason for wanting “11 Days to List Profits” is that I want to see those profits in 11 days. Been working on SEO, writing articles, Adsense, Adwords and these rest. The learning curve is huge, but I learned a long time ago, that the learning process is in how to filter out duplication, fluff, misleading advice, all of which contributes to a great education. But success is built on simplification. As the old geometric axiom says, “the shortest distance between 2 points is a straight line.” “11 Days . . .” seems to be pretty straight.

First of all, thanks for this contest. I hope I’m NOT the winner. (I also hope reverse psychology works… er, no I don’t… um… nevermind.)

Why do I want to win? Well, here’s the dealioliolio. I was unfortunate enough to have this combination of circumstances and qualities in my life… I am a web developer, very entrepreneural (my brain never stops thinking up hair-brained schemes and funky business ideas), a few dollars (emphasis on the word “few”), and a supportive wife who believes in me. That last circumstance is the most dangerous, because having a supportive wife means almost carte blanche in pursuing my ideas. What this ends up meaning in the long run is that I spend all kinds of money on domain names (almost 400 of them) for differnt business ideas and websites that I “just know” is gonna make us money someday, hosting, an MLM venture or two, some bad investments in brick-and-mortar companies, a patent, and other things. To make a long story short, I’ve spent alot of money over the years, and I’ve yet to see anything but red. Yet my supportive wife continues to believe in me. Her patience and tolerance to my throwing money away is amazing.

Any joking aside, the so-far failed attempts are beginning to get to me. I continue to pick myself up off the ground, dusting myself off, and getting back on the horse. But that darn horse keeps bucking me. It’s beginning to make me feel just a tad like a worthless loser… and I really don’t want my wife to lose faith in me.

Currently, we’re having some financial difficulties and my success is now becoming a desparate necessity and not just an ego or financial booster.

I refuse to beg… but I will respectfully ask you (on my knees, of course ) to consider allowing me to walk away with one of the two prizes. I have been on the Internet since 1985 and using web browsers since I first encountered one for my NeXT cube in 1993. I made contributions to the original elm mailer, maintained all of the email programs for HP-UX, and was responsible for a subscription-based email service that sent over 1.5 million messages per day.

I have a number of market segment ideas where I can create and obtain useful content around which I can build a product. My interests are varied so I can likely find a viable segment in which I am personally interested and can convey that excitement to my list.

I have the technology background for this sort of opportunity and scheduling needs that make it ideal, but I need the marketing education to enable it all to work. I’ve been trying to live off my Internet businesses since 1999, and one of your subscribers from the beginning. I had a couple of ezines that were doing pretty well by 2002, but offline health and family issues (I’m older than your average reader - Baby Boomer, and my husband is legally blind.) forced me to shut down my ezines, and I lost the good-sized list I’d spent years growing. 8 months ago my family and I were involved in a car accident, accidentally crashed by a commercial truck. I have lost my youngest daughter, which was 2.5 years old at that time, and my 17 year old son one side of his face has been completely distorted.

Everyone experience buying a lot Internet products, attending Bootcamp and seminar trying to learning how to do a business on the Internet. Somehow, only 5% who really make money on the Internet and the rest get frustrated.

For a start, they may not have a list or don’t know where to get listing. In some cases, people bought listing and got spam. It’s always good to get the right teacher and hop into the right wagon to succeed in this business. In business, the listing is the most important factor without them you are not in business…think of a good listing program. Here is something we should learn from Michael Cheney!

Before I begin I would to take a moment to thank you for the free advice and ecourses that you give as theres always something/s that I didnt know and that has turned out to be valuable. There are many products out there about building a profitable money making list. However, none of them deliver what they promise to. In fact, they are not even close to be productive.

I’m so sure things will change on the 6th of November when Michael Cheney will release his new set of videos on list building. Michael’s products have never disappointed me in the past, therefore I should see no reason why should they disappoint me in the future. In fact, I feel very confident about that.

When ever Michael Cheney releases a new product, I believe it means that other have failed their job trying to release a useful product, and there is Michael Cheney gets into the picture, dominating that market.

When list building / or any other products I’m intrested involves you - I would like very much that product from NO guru but you. If you can just give me the chance to try your product. When I received news of your competition it reminded me of Bob the teacher who specializes in Free Advertising and running competitions once a month for his list. Its a great idea for getting people to express their views and hence keeping your figure on the pulse.

I remember some guru said that your videos are something to die for - well I do not care for dying at the moment but I think I understand the emotion behind the expression and certainly such expressions are not just guru speak but are rather genuine appreciation.

I was watching a video of Perry Marshall’s from the google video library and Perry mentioned when he first heard of your videos he thought the ideas were nonsense but had to admit he had got it all wrong. All I can say is this- If you can fool a man like Perry and get him to admit he was wrong then I can well understand why your videos are something to die for!

Oh by the way I have no idea how to build a list so what better recommendations are there than to start with your video series.

Well to start with as you see I already have an opportunity going and it is going strong. The thing that keeps me from really getting on the fast track is all the non-responsive members, who can see the business are afraid to go for their Dreams.
Myself I started that way but since I have upline that have answered all of my questions,
but there is still that problem of aquiring a list that will be productive.
In the position that I am in right now, I do some training and with your offer I will be able to effectively tutor my members in the art of list building.

A little while ago I had to put my hubby in a nursing home as he’d had several small strokes while he was sleeping one night. He is making progress but it takes time and money. Time I have, money I don’t so I truly need all the help I can get. Nursing homes are expensive. I’m a really good worker and I’m ready to dig in and get a good list going ASAP!!!

This is not a sob story. I had a stroke that damaged my memory and in order to learn anything new I need to repeatedly go over and over the material before it starts to penetrate. Videos are my easiest way to do this because I can look at them repeatedly and take notes which eventually helps me learn. I don’t want to sound like a sob story, but I am approaching retirement but have no benefits. I’ve been trying to learn the ways of the internet so I can have a home business to support myself and my wife after I’m forced to retire. So far it’s been pretty fruitless.
