List building IS a great way to get people to click on your AdSense ads.

You can get LOTS more AdSense revenue if you focus on REPEAT traffic (by building a list) rather than just on the endless process of pushing through-traffic.

So what is the first step that you are going to take? I would love to try to keep up with you in the process.

I would like something that is simple, consistent and that can be duplicated. If it means keying in data, I’m willing to do the work. But these “data entry” listings focus on placing ads, which is conveniently omitted in the sales letter. (In my opinion, most of these “data entry” listings are the Internet equivalent of “stuffing envelopes” in mail order, i.e., the critical element to make it work is omitted.)

Other sites mention that one only needs to place ads using juicy keywords, enhance SEO and do RSS, and that’s all there is to it. Say what?

Please make printable transcripts available also! The ability to refer back to them instantly, concisely highlighted, lets me add them to my “Reference Book.” I don’t like audio/video presentations because digesting them and taking notes is less efficient. Also these eat up so much more time than quick-scanning pages of print. “CONCISE” is my favorite word, and recordings tend not to be.

I love my morning coffee. I’d love to be able to enjoy my morning coffee while analyzing my traffic stats from the previous 24 hours of business. So far, it’s just enjoy the coffee (if you get my drift).

Adsense is a fickle machination that requires an inordinate amount of savvy, a bona-fide marketer’s mindset, and constant attention. Forget about the auto-pilot myth if you’re a newbie.

Content and product creation are the two areas in which I’m most interested in developing my skills. Ideas for products, and sources of relevant content for AdSense pages are scarcer than well documented Alien Abductions, so it’d be nifty to see some commentary on those issues.

I think step by step instructions/videos would be very helpful. The only thing is that I think newbies need to realize that there is no free lunch. That this is a fabulous opportunity but you DO have to DO work. No one makes piles of money for doing 10 minutes work. At least not legally.

Newbie here with no website as yet but know how important the “list” is. Too many use the abreviations that we do not know what they are or what they mean. Need help with those.

I think it is totally crucial to build a list first - if I could start out again it would be the very first thing I would do.

John - as for monetizing it, I truly believe that this is the easy part if you get everything else right. I will be devoting a lot of time to this step though but ultimately, once you have a list of people that you can help out with your advice, you just need to keep giving them what they want at a reasonable price.

I have seen a lot of courses, bootcamps, seminars advertised about list building some are step by step some are not. So I don’t agree with your comments that there aren’t courses of this nature about. What I haven’t seen yet is a step by step list building exercise in a niche that is not a internet marketing niche. It would be good to carry out you step by step list building exercise in a niche you know nothing about but there is a gap in the market. That, in my opinion is a
more relevant example to what people are actually faced with day to day. In my case for example my problem is not getting people to subscribe to my newsletter but getting people to confirm the subscription. Fewer than 50% confirm even with incentives. I don’t work in an internet marketing niche and a lot of my subscribers can’t understand why they have to double opt in. With thanks for this opportunity. Ken.

There are many ways you can improve double optin rates (or you can choose a provider that doesn’t require them).

I personally have never used double optin and it’s never harmed me.

If people really want your messages they will optin as many times as needed.

Maybe posting a picture on your thank you page of what the confirmation email looks like or telling them it’s on the way would help?

Changing the wording of the confirmation will also help from the standard set up to a real carrot / bait approach if they confirm “Click here to get started with your amazing XYZ..”..

Being fair minded, some of the sites returned may have been yours, but your name was not associated prominently with the site.

My point? If building site traffic and web marketing in general are to be the focus of your video guide, what would I gain for my enterprise, if exected search results for my businesses were the same as the searches I just ran for the focus on business you have?

Last month I lost my employment, and I do not drive anymore. Replacing a job is out of the question, both for my age, and for the transportation issue, as we live in a rural setting. Therefore, my decision to apply what little online maketing knowlede I possess, and a determined search for Real Successful online marketing guidance has been frustrating, to put it very mildly!

In fact, just last week, after almost 60 days of searching up to 15 hours daily, seven days a week, I had a great idea: When this all comes together for my business, I will set down and produce a clear, easy-to-grasp, inexpensive online marketing and traffic-generating guide, for the average Joe Blow who wants desperately for a satisfying, Profitable, online business!

Then, I bump into your site, as I read some marketing guide info where your URL is placed!

I was wondering if this process will include how to build a list in a niche market. It seems to me that most of the current products/instructions, etc. are based on doing JVs with internet marketers as the main focus. I don’t think that a bunch of internet marketers-to-be would be a good list for dog training or for woodworking, etc. How do you build a niche list from scratch.

Another question that goes along with list building is how to use the autoresponder. I have played around with that, but I need more nuts and bolts of how they work…For instance, do they email you when you have a prospect? Do they automatically add to the right list, etc,etc.

Count me in the bunch that are sick of opting into a newsletter or something similar just to find a bunch of “look how much money I make!” shock bait followed up with “give me YOUR money and I’ll show you how I did it”. Then they show you techniques that you already know and just keep trying to bait you into buying something else. I’m surprised that marketers have found so much success selling to marketers!

I hope you come through with your promises as I do indeed think that building a sufficiently large list is the key to network marketing and I’ve heard all the JV recommendations - you need at least 50,000 visitors a day to interest most of them! - but how do you get visitors from people you don’t know without costing a fortune in buying lists that have already been bought by others? Its not a great secret to building a list. To build a list you have to swap an email address for something that someone wants. So the first thing that you need to create is an opt in sales page that offers somekind of ‘opt-in’ promotion. The real problem that people tend to have is getting traffic to their website. One of the best ways to do this is by buying cheap traffic using Google Adwords and converting this click in to a high paying product using a well made sales page offering genuine inducements.

Its one thing selling info products to other money making wannabies, who have a natural urge to buy these reports and guides but another thing to reel in those people who want to grow prize winning marrows or how to repair your push bike, its these people in these niches that need targeting more as there are literally hundreds of profitable niches.

Really its all about finding how to get in contact with people. A good place to start is in your newsagents in the magazines - see what people are taking about, go to the local library see whats been lent the most, visit Nichebot.com and type in things like ‘how to’, ‘report on’ ‘growing a’ etc, its all about research. Once you find your niches list building will follow your information products.

In your videos you made a big step from just a couple of dollars a day to $19k. how is that humanly possible? Speaking of hype on the Internet, don’t you think you are at the top of that mountain?

This isn’t so much of a ‘help me’ post but more of a ‘I have to query what you suggest’ post. Relating to opt in and double opt in methods.

While both options are available to anyone building a list, surely it is always better to have a ‘qualified’ list?

The real problem with single optin lists are the ‘robot’ generated emails requests.

If people don’t confirm, your list builds up with this garbage and at some point it reaches the point where delivery is affected.

And if nothing else … big lists eat bandwidth .. why waste it?

I’m sure we’ll all be learning lots watching you.

Larry - the videos will be aimed at helping you regardless of what your market is, so it doesn’t matter if you have e-products, physical products or (what I’ll cater to most) - if you have NO PRODUCTS at all!

Les - don’t be frightened! I will make this as far from ‘writing’ as possible so that even a child can do it. That is my challenge!

Peter - you asked if there will be a cost attached to the final product. What do you think? Yes, there will be a cost. I’m probably looking at, at least 20 videos here - it will be an entire step-by-step system from scratch to site-built, list-built, sales made. What step-by-step means to someone really depends on what level of detail they are shooting for. Step-by-step instructions is used fairly loosely I think, by some probably because it gives an impression of a duplicateable, safe, and fail-safe process to make money. Does such a business concept really exist? Most often when a whole bunch of people start doing the same thing they actually create a new situation, a new reality if you will and the step-by-step process no longer works effectively.

You used the phrase step-by-step about your Adsense videos as well in the sales letter. However, although I enjoyed the videos and found them helpful they were not what I consider step-by-step and did not, in my personal oppinion, complete the picture of what it takes to become successful with Adsense. They gave vital and important pieces, but not the whole (detailed) story of how you make so much money with Adsense.

With this list building challenge — are you really going to reveal all the (very important) nitty-gritty details in order that someone can do exactly what you are saying they will be able to do and in the same time as you did it? If yes, why on earth do you want to create a whole bunch of competitors for yourself?

Forgive me for playing the devils advocate and I do appreciate what seems to be an honest concern for us wannabe online entrepreneurs. It’s just that I have been fed so much b.s. and wasted so much time in the past I admit I have become a bit cynical.

I really believe you can do this and provide something the others never do!
“PRODUCE AN END RESULT”
many have started the journey but none to date have fulfilled their intentions to produce a consice working model for an A - Z success system. Most provide “bits” to get you going but miss out important parts which can take years of experience to complete the jigsaw.
I have great hopes for your challenge as you have turned the tables on everyone else by asking the questions before producing the answers and my friend Dr Spock would say “That is a logical method” shame some of those guys who charge $100 for info letters did not think your way.

I am looking forward to seeing your videos. I’m learning that to succeed, you need to visualize what you are going to do in your mind first to make it happen. However, if you don’t know how to do something, step by step, it’s nearly impossible to visualize it. I have been working on the internet for a few years now and read alot of how-to books and they just don’t get me as far as a good video. I have been using Paypal for years and I just learned how to setup the payment button on a website due to a video and that has been a struggle for me along time now.

As to how I can help,well all I can do is cooment as follows…………
It seems to me at the moment that traffic via the SEO/Google system is getting tougher by the minute and that ’social bookmarking’ is perhaps the way of the future(at least for the forseeable future) that is socialbookmarking in conjunction with Blog and RSS feeds?
These 3 systems supplied with unique-content-keyword-targetted articles would allow the spread of quality information,which along with quality comment from others,might just be the means by which newbie strugglers like me might be able to make a few extra dollars.
My problem Michael is that I dont understand RSS feeds and howto set them up or add them to blog pages or bookmark sites - though I’m now reading that these are the type of systems I should be using;I simply dont understand how to use them?……….hope this helps explain why so many of us need the ’step by step’video-look over your shoulder ‘click by click’ tutorial to learn how its done SUCCESSFULLY….

First there are too many lies and deception tactics to manipulate the consumer about building a business.There is not much help and assistance from the people that bring you into. I don’t know what it was, I think your video personality is what makes people immediately like you. That and the accent is kinda cool…lol. This sounds like just what I have been looking for. Everyone is willing to tell you what you need to do or sell something that will supposedly help you, but I am completely new at this and sure could use some basic help and instructions. Video would be even better; I find it easier to learn to do something if I can actually see how to do it. I am looking forward to your challenge!

Everything else I have learned from you has been priceless so I’m sure this will be too.
I have to tell you that I am beginning to feel like such a phony sometimes because I have associates that come to me for advice on how to do this or that and know that more than likely I will have the answer and they act like I’m some kind of marketing wizard when actually it’s just advice that I have learned from you and your peers over the years.

Just wanted to ask where can I get an autoresponder that will allow me to submit Names and e-mail addresses by hand. ‘Get Response’ will only allow opt in responses from an online form. I advertise in an on-line Franchise opportunities website. I receive names addresses phone numbers and e-mail addresses of interested prospects from the franchise company. Customers have to fill out an online form at the franchise site requesting more information from me. Their IP addresses are not recived. I am e-mailed all customer contact information, now I would like to input this information manually on a autoresponder, message announce site. Can you reccomend a site that would allow me to input my customers information manually, without an online opt in form on my website?

Also will you supply products, merchandise, website building, and SEO with this list building course. We all need somthing to sell our lists.

Can you include detailed instructions in writing a series of autoresponder letters and message announce letters, the psychology behind the writing, and the big picture to capture sales from our customers. Letter writing may be as important as our lists. After all,what good is a Mercedes if we don’t know how to drive?

Terry - you will need some time to follow the videos but I will keep them totally jargon-free. My aim is to make them so simple a child could watch and follow what I do.

Because it’s not competition - when you go through this and build your own list you may end up promoting my products and sending me more business.

There is more than enough room on the internet for more list builders!

Stan - yes, traffic generation methods and conversion rates will ALL be covered in the videos.

You NEED a list - that’s the power in this. When you have a list you can send people to your adsense pages, send them to buy your products, send them to buy other people’s products - whatever way you want to make money! That’s really why list building is so important.

Will you be providing the essential PHP scripts to build the essential members only website?. This forms the core of any major list building exercise. If you dont then only half a list will be built, and a major part of the list building arsenal will be lost. The scripts should build the MYSql backend which holds all the contact details of your new list of contacts. If you can do this and show newbies with very limited web experience how to do it well done.
Looking at these posts here, I get tired of people looking for the silver bullet approach that will do all and everything to build there money making empire. You make it sound too easy, but it takes a lot of work, research and dedication, most ‘gurus’ just say I made 20K dollars last week- you can too! - pull the other one. Those people already have responsive lists.

People need to realise that one of the best ways to get rich in this game is to have your own ebook, or series of ebooks and info products - something that you have mastered.

Steve - thanks for your comments. You can make a TON of money with a list and no membership site. I have never owned a membership site and it’s never harmed me.

These videos are going to show you how to get the subscribers, get your own domain and website to capture the subscriber and how to email them and make money from those emails. You don’t need a membership site to do this.

I have also kept it purposely low-tech so there won’t be any need for techie codes or anything like that.

Eric - sorry about that! I don’t know of a service where you can manually enter people’s details to add them to a list because it is open to abuse from spammers.

I have already recorded the videos that show you how to get the best products to sell and how to build your own website. I won’t be going near SEO (search engine optimization) because you don’t need to do it to build your list.
