VIDEO: Someone pass the matchsticks!
You want to know how I’ve been getting on? It doesn’t make pretty viewing (sorry - I’m tired!):
Your latest video update on the Challenge..
Thank you again so much for your comments and PLEASE do continue to post comments and replies on the blog to let me know your ideas and what you want to see in a list building course as it will really help me as I record the videos for the course.
Speak soon!
Michael
This is such GREAT timing for me, Michael. I have my first ebook written and my techie friend is almost through with the shopping cart and autoresponder. So I am literally working along with you. I know that this is going to be VERY helpful to me.
And besides, I love listening to British accents!
Have a question that seems rather simple but I just don’t quite get it. If I want to do a trackback from my blog to yours (or is it from yours to mine), do I click on the Trackback URL and simply post that at my blog?
Hi Michael
This is a great idea and I wish you the best of luck, with what will be, a pretty hard slog for you over the next couple of weeks.
The only thing which would spoil this experiment is… if you fall back on existing relationships with previous JV partners to grow the list.
Obviously the vast majority of people watching this will never have done a JV with any of the big list owners and will lack “credibility” - this is the part which they will find most difficult, (growing a list from an unknown marketers point of view).
If you can address this point then this experiment will have extremely high value.
Best of Luck
Baz
Hello Michael
I just finished viewing your update for today 10/04/2006.
I have (2) two complaints about something you said:
1) You do not want to insult us by saying that you are making it simple enough for a baby to understand. Please understand that is the way it needs to be for a lot of us as we are newbie’s. To many have forgotten that a lot of things are not simple to people like us. Therefore the idea of making it baby simple is AWESOME & GREEEEEEEEAAAAAT. Please keep using the KISS system, if for no one else, do it for me. As I’m a slow learner.
2) I know that you have set a dead line for this project. However it does you or no one else any good if you burn out while or before you complete it. Sooooo get your rest; take care of your self. If you have to extend the deadline so be it. Better to be late & finish than to make yourself sick trying to keep the deadline
Rufus
I was just thinking along the same lines as Baz, and I hope the list building doesnt rely on previous contacts you have, as most of us dont have this.
However, Im sure you are starting from scratch and that we will all gain a valuable insight into how to build a good sized list.
Sally
Michael, DO NOT RUSH. All you need to do is remember back to when you were first getting started. Your videos are very important because we can SEE the process, which is very important. The other programs say a lot but it can be very confusing. You are on the right track. Don’t kill yourself!!
Hi Michael, I do think video tutorials are definitely the way forward. Especially if the videos are going to remain on a domain for a long period so we can all go back and double-check where we’ve gone wrong, or simply can’t remember the step-by-step actions.
You do need to talk to most of us as if we’re children, because most of us are in AWE of the internet and it’s capabilities. Trying to take it all in is a nightmare in itself.
If you do this challenge successfully, (which I’m sure you will), your credibility will be sky-high and future recommendations you make to us will be ‘done deals’ on your say so.
This is an excellent marketing strategy overflowing with integrity as you’re not asking us to ‘lay down the money’.
Good luck Michael. Will be keeping a close eye on you as list-building is a challenge I’ve failed at miserably.
Pete.
There is never anything wrong with covering the basics more than once or doing it as for a child. For newbies or slow learners it is great, for the more advanced it is a good reminder.
Take care and don’t burn out!
Hilary
Just caught your update and sounds like you have got a busy day.
I’m putting together some things too as a few have said here already and I’m sure this challenge and all the videos will insure that my launches go much better.
Keep on charging, I cant wait for the next update.
Sleep is overrated, I’ll do that after I’ve paid my house off and given my wife the moon and the stars that I promised her 30 years ago.
Hey btter late than never right?
Hey Michael
Fantastic Job to date, i don’t know how you will keep up the pace but as a fellow “Brit” from sunny Newcastle i know you will be giving it 110%. Like Everyone else i urge you to take care of your health, i speak from personal experience of pushing that extra mile, I got no “Extra” medals for it. I would rather be able to put on my Kilt and take you for a drink when you finish instead of sending a get well soon card.
P.S. the drink is a promise not sure about the kilt (dodgy knee caps)
Karen - I’ll be honest with you - I don’t know about track backs! The best way to stay tuned with the progress here is to press CONTROL and D on your keyboard on bookmark this blog.
Baz - you’re right. As you might have seen in my latest video - I responded to you directly on this and won’t be relying on any of my existing products or relationships to make this work. That’s where the challenge lies!
Rufus - thank you, I will definitely be KEEPING IT SIMPLE. That’s why I’m already onto my 20th video in the course, I am not leaving ANYTHING out here.. Thank you also for your wishes - I thrive on a challenge but have been getting the occasional rest and power nap.
Tracey - I will try not to kill myself.
I am not rushing as I know that leads to mistakes and sloppiness. I have a lot of balls to juggle but I am confident it will ‘be alright on the night’.. Looking forward to November 1st!
Pete - yes the videos will be online indefinitely so you will be able to check back time and again to make sure you have the process mastered. You will also be able to repeat it in different niche markets and build MANY PROFITABLE LISTS! It’s exciting!
Rich - good luck! You are right - sleep can be overrated. I find that getting good exercise and diet means you can easily manage on 6 hours a night, with training.
Billy - I might hold you to that drink! Don’t worry, I have been going full tilt this week but want to get started on the right foot. I am confident that I am not far from ‘breaking the back’ of the Challenge.
Thank you all for your support and encouragement. It means a lot to me and I get so much out of this. It’s cool isn’t it?
I’m helping you. You are helping me in return. And together we can make this happen.
I know every product owner says their product is something different but I feel from the very bottom of my heart and soul that if I get this one right it will have a positive effect on a LOT of people’s lives. Because it will actually enable them to make good money on a regular basis that is based on a long term and not ‘latest fad’ approach.
Speak soon, the Challenge calls..
Michael
Dear Michael
As recent video update on the coming web builder guide, is exciting and sound simple.
Visionary is best on IQ test.
Kind regards

I have never been involved in a site like this.
It is great to have the updates in this way.
